Arbitration Winter Program

22.02.2022

The Austrian Arbitration Academy - Arbitration Rules in Practice, taking place from Tuesday, 22 February to Saturday, 26 February 2022, is an intensive, five-day program on international commercial arbitration from an institutional perspective.

Jointly organized by the Sommerhochschule of the University of Vienna, the Vienna International Arbitral Centre, the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners and the Austrian Arbitration Association, this program has been specifically devised for participants with first experience in the area of international arbitration.

Professor Paul Oberhammer acts as course director of the Arbitration Academy, while Dr. Alice Fremuth-Wolf is co-director of the Austrian Arbitration Academy - Arbitration Rules in Practice on behalf of VIAC.

The course will take place in Vienna and will consist of two and a half days of interactive classes, mirroring the structure of an (administered) arbitration. The classes will be taught by first-class international arbitration practitioners from both the bar and academia. Further, participation in the Vienna Arbitration Days, Austria’s leading arbitration conference, is included.

The application for the program is possible until Friday, 7 January 2022.
