Panel discussion: From Crypto- to Corporate Currencies?

Recently, Facebook announced the launch of Libra as an attempt to build a global, reserve-backed cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology. The goal of this panel is to shed light on the technical and economic properties of Libra, to point out data protection and privacy issues, and to draw possible utopian and dystopian visions of a future society and economy building on corporate (crypto)currencies.

The Alumni-Organization IT-LAW.AT, the Institute for Innovation and Digitalization in law, the Austrian Institute of Technology, the Center of Digital Safety & Security, the Research Group Cooperative Systems of the University of Vienna and the master programme “Information and Media Law” invite your to the panel-discussion.
